If you find your favorite .ttf font in the internet, here is how you use it:
- download it
- find the name of the downloaded file, in this example say it's the font DS-NFB
cd ls -ltr Downloads
- unpack it
unzip Downloads/DS-NFB__.zip
- copy the .ttf file to /usr/share/fonts/truetype
cp DS-NFB__.TTF /usr/share/fonts/truetype/
