Install fonts for Linux

If you find your favorite .ttf font in the internet, here is how you use it:

  • download it
  • find the name of the downloaded file, in this example say it's the font DS-NFB
cd
ls -ltr Downloads
unzip Downloads/DS-NFB__.zip 
  • copy the .ttf file to /usr/share/fonts/truetype
cp DS-NFB__.TTF /usr/share/fonts/truetype/
